Historic Fausel House

Working with Deanna Fausel, Quilt Trail artist Jane Harris, painted the delicate blue and white design of this quilt coping an old, cherished, delicate crocheted cloth made by Oveta Mari Fausel – born in the house 1915. The house is Placerville’s oldest residential building and listed on the California Register of Historic Places. The family still lives in town [Fausel Ranch] and owns the oldest hardware store west of the Mississippi [Placerville Hardware]. NOTE: Please do not disturb business tenants at the Fausel House.
