Owned by the American River Conservancy (ARC), Wakamatsu is an historic farm still in production. This 272-acre farm offers sustainable agricultural practices, cultural and historical interpretation, land stewardship, and educational and recreational opportunities. The 1st Japanese colony in the USA settled here in 1869 to grow tea and silk worms. ARC leases acreage to resident farmers who sell products onsite. Contact ARC for program schedules.
