The Fenton Herriott Vineyards
The Fenton Herriott Vineyards can be found in the Sierra Nevada Foothills at the gateway of Apple Hill and calls the land that was the old Pony Express Route home. The foothills have been used for farming for over 150 years, and it’s no surprise that they’ll continue to be used for years to come. With the Mediterranean climate of the area, the summer nights that are warm and the blazing days, and the free-draining volcanic soils, it’s no wonder that the foothills are ideal for grape growing.
As a family-owned winery, everyone at the Fenton Herriott Vineyards is deeply involved with every part of the production process, from vineyard/vine maintenance, to fermentation, to packaging. The Fenton Herriot Vineyards supplement their harvest with other selected grapes from quality vineyards that were grown in the El Dorado foothills to provide a larger selection to their customers, and all of their wines are hand-made to ensure the highest quality!
