Rainbow Orchards 2569 Larsen Drive, Camino The Rainbow-Donut-Fan quilt design is hanging on the barn that today serves as a farm stand for Rainbow Orchards. The historic barn was build in the late 1930s for sorting and storing apples and pears grown on the property. It also housed the original apple cider mill still in operation today. This is a third generation family farm founded in 1977. Almost forty years later, Rainbow Orchards has grown from its original heritage apple and pear orchard to producing blueberries, blackberries, plums, peaches, nectarines, winter squash and a wide variety of apples. Rainbow has become one of the larger direct marketing farms in Apple Hill. Their bakeshop sells pies, tortes, crisps, cobblers, jams and jellies, and their world-famous hot apple cider donuts.
