Become a member of the Farm
Trails Association!
The El Dorado County Farm Trails Association represents the interests
of agriculture in El Dorado County. The Association membership
represents all of the many and various agricultural pursuits throughout
the County. It is a non-profit corporation organized under the
California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law.
There are two types
of membership:
Regular membership (Voting) – any
individual or firm operating a farm with at least one acre of
permanent or annual crops situated
in El Dorado County who is approved for membership by the Board
of Directors.
Associate membership (Non-voting) – any
individual or firm operating within the county whose activities
or business provide
supplies and/or services that support agriculture, agri-tourism,
general tourism, recreational activities, and other related activities,
and is approved for membership by the Board of Directors. Associate
members receive all benefits of regular membership except they
are non-voting members.
Membership benefits include:
- Distinctive sign with your customized business name
(additional fees apply; sign is solely owned by Farm Trails and use is revocable upon
termination of membership).
- Free listing in the El
Dorado County Farm Trails and Visitors Guide (which reaches
over 150,000 people), and is published annually
and distributed Mid-year .
- Discount on paid advertising
in the Guide.
- Free listing and link
in the Farm Trails website.
- Appropriate representation
to various governmental agencies.
- Participation in Certified
Farmers Markets.
- Regular monthly meetings,
networking and exchange of information.
- The marketing power
of joining with the hundreds of other people who gain from
their work in agriculture and agritourism.
Fees and dues:
$125 annual membership fee (Both regular and associate).
$75 customized Farm Trails sign, $135 customized two-sided Farm Trails sign, (Use is revocable upon termination
of membership).
Optional signs:
$35 name of business with directional
arrow (To be placed under Farm Trails directional sign).
$75 Farm Trails directional sign (To be placed along designated
route).

The mission of the El Dorado County Farm
Trails is to:
- Foster and promote the preservation
of the county’s small farms and ranches and to showcase
their activities and products
- Encourage the preservation of the rural
atmosphere of the county and agricultural way of life
- Sponsor and support programs which
will enhance the knowledge of people of the agricultural activities
and opportunities in the county
- Unite all facets of agriculture in
the county for effective representation on their behalf
- Promote public awareness of the county’s
fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products and promote
appropriate marketing activities for our members.
